In my opinion this is the best way to see Fraser Island
Accommodation for this tour is in 2 bedroom Timber Lodges at the Wilderness Retreat at Happy Valley. There is a share bathroom between 2 rooms.

Useful Info
The Fraser Island Company tours do not visit Lake McKenzie, however they visit other magnificent lakes on the Island. Is it necessary to see Lake McKenzie? Other white sand lakes are equally as beautiful and often far less crowded than Lake McKenzie - don't let this be a deciding factor of which tour to take.
1 Day or more? Fraser Island is far bigger than most people anticipate. It is very rushed trying to see as much as possible in a single day. If your time and budget allow, I strongly recommend a 2 day tour. The 1 Day Tours only make it as far as the Maheno Shipwreck. No 1 Day Tour goes to Indian Head or Champagne Pools.
Which 1 Day Tour? Budget is usually the deciding factor. Obviously the smaller the group size the better. All day tours (except Lake McKenzie) depart on the same barge in the morning and return on the same in the afternoon. The Lake McKenzie Day Trip departs passengers an hour earlier on the Kingfisher passenger ferry, and departs the resort after that. You get about an hour longer on the Island.
The Exclusive 1 DayTour visits Lake Allom, a tea-tree stained lake full of penny turtles. It has a custom cooked BBQ lunch with beer / wine included. All other day tours have buffet / picnic lunches.
All dietary needs / allergies / requirements can be accommodated on all tours. Tell me when you book any special needs.
My recommendation : If you have the time, the packages above with the Fraser Island Company's 2 Day Safari are the best way to see Fraser.
